The entrance exam is a online mode computer based one held in two sessions per day. Application form of GATE 2020 will be available from September 1, 2019 while admit card will be released tentatively in December. GATE 2020 scores will be valid for a period of three years from the date of the release of the result which is tentatively March mid week. The GATE 2020 scores will be used for admission purposes in the IITs through the Common Online Admission Portal (COAP) for IITs and CCMT for NITs. Candidates who score equal to or above the qualifying cutoff will be declared as eligible for admissions to M.Tech programmes. The qualifying cutoff for each GATE paper will be different and will be announced in the score card by IIT Delhi.
